Preston Flanary

Funeral Director/Mortician

Preneed Advisor

I am a funeral director and mortician. I joined White Mortuary and Reynolds Funeral Chapel in 2013. I graduated from Cypress College in Cypress, California with a degree in mortuary science in 1999. Later I received a bachelor’s degree in business management from Utah State University.

I have been in the funeral business for 25 years and have held licenses in California, Washington and currently hold licenses in Utah and Idaho. I have managed multiple funeral homes and cemeteries over my career.

I was born in Meridian, Idaho and am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I served a mission to Bahia Blanca, Argentina where I learned Spanish and continue using it to help our Spanish speaking families. I come from a family of fourteen children and have learned the importance of family. I love spending time with my wife and five children.

Rachel Steele

Funeral Director/Embalmer

I serve as a mortician here at White- Reynolds Funeral Chapel. I have the privilege of meeting with families, caring for the deceased, and everything in between. I have been honored to be a part of this astounding team since 2020 and in the funeral profession since 2016. I believe in providing the upmost compassion, dignity, and integrity to all who enter our doors.

After high school I attended Boise State University, earning a degree in Criminal Justice and then went on to complete the mortuary science program at Cypress College, in Southern California. I have dreamt of being where I am today since the age of 14. Watching my family go through substantial loss at a young age, made me want to be there for others during some of the most trying times of their lives. Grief is immensely diverse for every individual and I strive to help facilitate those emotions, no matter what that looks like.

Growing up in Hagerman, Idaho has always left me with a special connection to the Magic Valley. The beautiful scenery, countless adventures, but most importantly the people that make up this village is what draws me to this wonderful community. I am a very family oriented person, as they are my world. Most of my spare time is filled with spending time with them, my loving friends, and precious Aussie-Doodle named Murphy. I enjoy being cozied up in my home watching a good documentary and traveling the world in search of the yummiest food.

Morgan Steele

Funeral Director Trainee

I am currently a resident trainee on my way of becoming a Funeral Director.

I haven’t been in the funeral industry long, but I love being able to help families as much as possible and listen to all the amazing stories. I also love working with everyone here at White-Reynolds who are like a family away from home. Everyone has their heart invested in all they do here. I look forward to a long career in this industry and providing the best service possible.

I grew up in Southern Idaho and have lived here all my life. I enjoy a round of golf with my peers in the summer, and I enjoy hunting all sorts of various game in the fall and winter months. I like spending time with my dog Onyx and taking her on adventures whenever I can.

I grew up on a farm in Hagerman along the Snake River enjoying all the amenities that it had to offer, such as boating, surfing, and jet skis. I enjoy the farm life taking care of cows, growing corn, and pastures giving me a sense of pride and hard work. I also farmed for many years custom farming for dairies around the valley.

Funeral Director Trainee

Office Administrator

I am a proud member of the Idaho Legacy Team! My journey with the company started at birth, as I am third generation in the funeral industry. Crazy I know!

In May of 2022, I graduated with honors from the College of Southern Idaho in Accounting/Bookkeeping and became a National Certified Bookkeeper. I am the company bookkeeper and recently became a Funeral Director Trainee.

Through college I learned that I love to work with financials and have a deep passion for helping those in need. Luckily, this industry gave me the best of both worlds and was the perfect match. As you may know, a passing of someone close can cause great stress and burden on families, so being there to lighten those emotions and make the transition as easy as possible is truly what made me love my job.

In addition to working, I love all animals, crafting, and everything the outdoors have to offer. I also enjoy going on adventures both near and far with my Golden Retriever, Nora. My hopes for the future are to receive my Funeral Director License in the next coming years and to continue my parents’ legacy in helping families during one of life’s most difficult times.
